It also offers side entry, which is a huge bonus when you’re loading and unloading your child. What makes the Kid Comfort III one of the best baby backpack carriers, the Vari-Flex waist belt! It actually pivots in the center, and moves with your body. So instead of trudging up the trail with a stiff pack attached to your back, you can trudge freely, without inhibiting your natural movements. I could go on and on about all the features, but I wrote a separate review for that. Check out the Deuter Kid Comfort III Review & Video Demo for more information.

It doesn’t offer a ton of storage, in fact is has about half the storage that the Poco Plus offers, which is the next step up. It is however,  perfect for short hikes, and around town use. I would call it more of an urban baby backpack carrier, or every day child carrier. It’s easy to use, comes with a locking kickstand that keeps it stable while loading and unloading, as well as a height adjustable seat for your child, and an easy to use child safety harness. It’s the same child safety harness that you would find on the Poco Plus or the Poco Premium. It’s my favorite feature! It also offers the same dual foot stirrups, the same hydration sleeve for your water belly or camelbak, and the same torso-length adjuster. Chicco Smart Support Baby Backpack Carrier

Chicco Smart Support Baby Backpack Carrier - Red

Chicco Smart Support @ Amazon $129.99

4star
Customer Rating:
117/173 = 68%

  • Price: $130.00
  • Weight: 7 pounds
  • Min & Max: 6 months to 40 pounds
  • Description: The Chicco Smart Support Backpack is affordable, and quality built. It can be used on day hikes, urban hikes, or strolls around the park. What I love most about this baby backpack carrier, aside from the price, is the height adjustable seat that grows with your child, the energy-absorbing lumbar support system, and the generous canopy that comes with the sun/rain visor. It doesn’t offer near as much storage as some of the higher-end, higher priced child carriers, but it’s enough, as long as you don’t plan on trekking across the state. For more information, including where to find the best price, check out the Chicco Smart Support Baby Backpack Carrier Review.
